Two Tapas Festivals Flavor Early-June.

Madrid’s southern neighbor Getafe holds its third annual Ruta de la Tapa (Tapas Route) on Friday the 3rd, Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of June. Getafe Centro, the city’s lively heart, transforms into a giant dining competition as restaurants create fancy, delicious dishes, pull out the stops to woo customers and encourage visiters to vote for them in the evening’s best restaurant award ceremony. There is also a raffle and prizes for the ‘judges.’

Akira Kurosawa drawings at the ABC Museum

Akira Kurosawa is known to have drawn the images of his scenes before he directed them, therefore its no surprise that there are drawings and images of his remaining. About 120 images are exhibited from the filming of his ultimate works including Kagemusha, the shadow of a warrior (1980); Ran (1985); Dreams of Akira Kurosawa (1990); Rhapsody in August (1991); Wait a bit (1993) and The sea that watches us (2002).The exposition intends to draw people to Akira Kurosawa´s world. The expo is occurring at Museo ABC (Amaniel, 29-31. Metro: Noviciado L2).The opening times are from 11am Hill 8pm Tuesdays to Saturdays, and Mondays and holidays from 10am Hill 2pm.Entrance is free. The expo ends on the 12th of June.
