Summer blockbuster season is in full swing, and it hasn’t passed Madrid by. Action adventure film “Captain America: The First Avenger” is playing in English at Yelmo Cines Ideal (C/ Doctor Cortezo, 6, metro: Tirso de Molina, L 1). After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project, Project Rebirth, which turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America’s ideals. A great escapist action flick.
Also playing at Yelmo Cines Ideal is the Cold War spy thriller “Farewell.” The French intelligence service alerts the U.S. about a Soviet spy operation during the height of the Cold War, which sets off an unfortunate chain of events.YouTube Preview Image

The transport single ticket will increase from 1 euro to 1.50 euros from Monday the 8th of August. The single ticket increasing after having this tariff frozen from 2004. However, as we all know these are not the most convenient times to be raising the cost of basic everyday activities like public transport. The singular ticket is called Sencilla in Spanish and it is for the Metro, Metro Ligero and EMT buses. Those who live in Parla must be aware that the single ticket for the tramway will  increase only by 10 cents. However, the combination ticket (Metro and Metro Ligero) will still cost 2 euros allowing passengers to travel throughout the whole network covering  the Madrid Metro, Metro Sur, Western Metro Ligero and TFM Arganda.
