Editor (General & Expats in Madrid): Sarah
I am a South African living in Madrid since 2005. I love this city, its people, its streets and its buzz. Therefore more than a year ago, I created this blog to inform friends and visitors of the city about what it has to offer. The result is Cheap In Madrid, a blog whose 95% content is for free events and activities from free music concerts, free art expositions, free workshops, free theatre, free museum visits, places to learn Spanish or other languages free of charge, cheap places to enjoy tapas and other typical Spanish dishes.

Contributor (Food & Drink): Christina
Christina is a California girl living la vida madrileña since 2010. She is a digital communications specialist for the United Nations. She is very active in the lively Madrid expat community, running a popular Facebook group with over 7,500 members. An avid world traveler who has been to nearly 30 countries, Christina has a taste for adventure and is passionate about discovering new and unconventional cuisine. She’s thrilled to see how the Madrid gastronomic scene has evolved and become more global in the last few years, with new ethnic and fusion spots. She loves spicy food and often asks for lo más picante from restaurants, but is often disappointed- and has been known to be seen in public resorting to her own secret stash of hot sauce or red pepper from her purse.
One of the things she loves most about Madrid is that there’s always something exciting going on (even bordering on overwhelming at times). She also loves how easy it is to get around town (no more congested LA freeways!) and the numerous charming daytrip destinations nearby. Follow her on Twitter @exanimotina
