Free Guided Tours in Conde Duque
Conde Duque offers free guided visits for the general public. They are led by history professors from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). The tours cover areas of the centre such as the Royal Guards Square, the Central Terrace, the Viewpoint and the Old Stables, as well as spaces that currently house cultural amenities, such as the Auditorium, the Events Room and the Theatre (depending on whether programming at the time of the visit allows).
The aim of these visits is to learn about the building’s rich history and the historical figures who have played significant roles in its development. These tours also strive to highlight the unique character of this 17th century barracks, as well as explore the many different restorations that it has undergone to arrive at its current state. Read more about the building here.
Free. Prior booking is not necessary.
