Frozen Finds – Los Alpes

 Frozen Finds – Los Alpes

In this hot weather, nothing can be more refreshing than an ice-cold ice cream. Our frozen food tour leads us next to Moncloa’s Los Alpes on Calle Arcipreste de Hita, 6. Whether you find yourself in Parque del Oeste in need of something cool or catching a ride from the bus station, it is a convenient and delicious place to take a break.

Unlike Palazzo, Los Alpes has only one location in the city of Madrid that has been around since 1950. They boast Italian, homemade ice creams with all natural ingredients. You can expect around fifty flavors including fruity sorbets, Spanish arroz con leche or crema catalana, and even sugar-free varieties.

They also make popsicles, granizados, milkshakes, and horchata made with nuts straight from Valencia. The biggest cone will run you 5.50€ while the smallest cone, pictured below, costs 1.90€. You can order liters (running at 15€) to take home and even ice cream cakes for a special occasion. They are open every day from 9:30am – 12:00am giving you all day long to squeeze in that sweet treat. Enjoy frozen finds in Madrid. Cool  down to some delicious ice cream in Madrid.
