II Torrija Route: An Easter Treat

The Torrija is a traditional dessert in Spain during Holy Week, similar to the French Toast. It consists of a slice of bread that is soaked in milk or wine or honey and cinnamon or cardamom, coated in egg, then pan fried with olive oil.
