O’Hara’s Restaurant Review
O’Hara is an Irish Restaurant and Bar located in Pozuelo de Alcorcón, Madrid. The restaurant was inaugurateda few years ago,as an extensión of the existing bar next door. Since then it has made a name for itself as a restaurant and sports bar of note in the área. The restaurant offers menus del día daily, dinners in the evening and is ideal for watching sports events. In fact the popularity of the venue for football supporters grew enormously during the 2010 World Cup when Spain won. The restaurant was the first in the área to strategically place flat screen tvs for the fans in the terrace area.
The menú is diverse and the star ítems are the burghers and the imported beers. O’hara’s is ideal for eating as groups or couples because the dishes are very generous .For starters the ¨palomitas de pollo¨ alternatively known as chicken bites are delicious and go down well with the imported beers. They are accompanied by a delicious sweet and sour sauce. If you are still hungry or are in a bigger group then try the nachos in preparation for the main dish.we highly recommend the burghers. In particular the truffle burger is a winner, however the other classical burghers also shine for their fresh and quality ingredients. The waiter explains to us,that the ingredients are locally sourced from the premium butchers and fresh produce markets. At this stage, its normal to feel like you have eaten enough for two days. The portions are all abundant and tasty so its easy to munch away.
After letting the food settle a bit, we opt for dessert. The dessert menú is very tempting and the waiter confirms to us that the desserts are also freshly homemade daily. We opted for a cheese cake and it didn’t disappoint.
All in all, the service is great and attentive and the food is delicious and filling. On game nights, be sure to reserve ahead of time. See you at O’Haras!
