Spanish Bargain Wines: Raimat Abadia

Raimat Abadia

Any wine you see in the market with a Raimat label will likely be a great deal. Raimat is a unique vineyard located in Catalunya that prides itself on its ecological initiatives.

I tried the 2008 Raimat Abadia Cabernet Sauvignon Tempranillo (~9 euros). It was easy drinking and went down especially nicely with some vinegar pickled vegetable Rioverde banderillas (2 euros), available at most supermarkets in Madrid.

This is a great “every day” wine with subtle fruits, high acidity, and a lovely price tag!
