CiM: Why did you move to Madrid?
LM: I was in Madrid on holiday back in November 2008. I intended to take a 10-day trip to visit a friend in Salamanca. There were no plans to leave Salamanca. However, by the end of the trip I had visited 5 cities in 3 different countries. I was so impressed with Europe—and especially the energy and lifestyle of Madrid—that I decided to pick up from New York City and relocate. I was only home for 3 months before I was back in Madrid with a one-way ticket, no Spanish, no apartment, no job and knowing no one. Shockingly, I was more excited than anything. READ MORE »
