The hour of the Planet – 27th March=Tonight

This Saturday many cities around the world will switch off their lights in solidarity with the commitment to save our planet. This will happen for one hour from 8:30pm till 9:30pm. Last year I was lucky to witness this event in Lisbon.In Lisbon the monumental 25 de Abril Bridge was switched off for an hour.

Jorge Drexler perfoming for a cause-Tomorrow Only

The water fund will be announcing its ambassador tomorrow.The ambassador will be none other than the Uruguayan singer Jorge Drexler.The perfomance will follow a presentation by the Secretary of International Co-operation, Soraya Rodríguez, regarding all the work accomplished by the fund for water and sanitation in Latin America and the Carribean with a special mention of the recuperation projects in progress in earthquake-devastated Haiti.  Entrance is free and the perfomance is at 12:30h tomorrow midday 22 March in Casa de America(Plaza de la Cibeles, 2:Metro Plaza España)
