Since watching one movie of a book adaptation by the late Real Academia Española (RAE) member Miguel Delibes, called ”Los santos inocentes”, I am deeply moved by the issues this esteemed late writer treated in his novels. As an expat his books have helped me to understand Spain,the country  of 30 years ago.I must say, however,that the social landscape and classism continue in many societies around the world today. We are fortunate to  get a chance to appreciate his critically acclaimed literal masterpieces for free from Academia de Cine (Zurbano, 3 Metro: Alonso Martínez).Nine films and three television adaptations are audiovisual material made from his novels and storybooks.His literal legend blossomed from love stories, social inequality and a contrast between rural and urban lifestyles of the time. The movie line up from tomorrow is as follows: (more…)

Free Exposition:Gregorio Marañón-Life of a Genius

In 1962 while addressing a dinner for Nobel Prize winners,former US President John F. Kennedy said the event was “probably the greatest concentration of talent and genius in this house except for perhaps those times when Thomas Jefferson ate alone.”
