Sponsored by Atresmedia Cine and organized by Spiral Pictures in collaboration with Fundación SGAE, the first edition of Madrid Corto Fest is a 5-day festival of short films, conceived and designed to facilitate access of new directors to the professional market and promote the film industry in Spain. The MCF is composed of 16 selected works in addition to exclusive films that have been nominated for an Oscar, films that have won a Goya Award and films that will be screened in the Filmoteca. Only 5 finalists will qualify for the MCF awards, which will be announced at the closing gala ceremony held on November 30th in Callao City Lights.
