Top 5 Italian Restaurants for less than 15 Euros
Tagliatelle, gnocchi, antipasti, formaggio, pizza, gelato… the list of delectable Italian treats is endless and quite frankly mouthwatering. But don’t worry, if you’re looking to fill your boots without breaking the bank, we’ve tried and tested the many Italian restaurants dotted around Madrid in order to bring you our top 5 recommendations, so you don’t have to. Although, would it really be a chore?
So, let’s start with number one on our list and one of our personal favourites;
Pasta Mito in El Mercado de Chamartín. Nestled amongst the other fresh food stands in one of Madrid’s traditional markets, Pasta Mito serves authentic and flavoursome Italian food at low prices. The menú del día will set you back a mere 10.8€, but we recommend you get the fresh pasta stuffed with goat’s cheese, followed by the Mascarpone Tiramisu. You won’t regret it.

Number two on our list is Al Settimo Cielo, a cosy and rustic taberna in the heart of the La Latina neighbourhood, where you can eat good quality, fresh Italian nosh at low prices. Top tip: order a pizza – the dough is delicious!

Mammamia Sapore Italiano comes in at number three on our list. Why? Aside from the cute and cosy interior, the kitchen here serves up some seriously tasty food. With more than 40 different Sicilian style pizzas, you’ll be spoilt for choice, but we can assure you that they’re all divine.

Il Cono takes 4th place on our list of recommendations, with its delicious, fresh food and varied menu. The pasta, which is made fresh to order, is truly a delight and should not be missed!

Last, but certainly not least, we have our number 5: Dario y Massimo. This cheap as chips restaurant serves up some delicious and authentic Italian cuisine and the pizzas are without a doubt the pièce de résistance. We recommend the Pizza Salamanca with Mozzarella, pear and Gorgonzola.
