Under the slogan Madrid Cultivates & Produce, the Agrarian Chamber of the Community of Madrid, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, has launched the initiative "Market Day" since June 2011 in order to create a meeting point for locals to view the ample products from Madrid & for consumers to purchase directly from the producer with no intermediaries. You will find everything here - fruits, vegetables, legumes, olive oil, cheese, meat, wine, bread...100% Made in Madrid. The best part: at the entrance, purchase a wine glass for 1€ yours to keep and go around tasting all the wines provided by local wineries! Not to mention the cheese & olive oils too, mmm! :) Going on this Saturday, November 3rd from 10am - 3pm. Located in La Cámara Agraria on Pº de la Puerta del Ángel, 4. Now until this Sunday, chocolate lovers will love attending the Salon du Chocolat reaches its 9th edition. Each year focuses on a theme, last year was ChocoHalloween, the previous year was the 7 deadly sins related to chocolate. The proposal for this year is to take a tour around the globe to deepen the knowledge of cocoa and chocolate, with workshops, demonstrations, tastings and a wide range of educational activities on the origins, types and flavors of cocoa produced all over the world. The infamous district of Lavapiés is recognized for its multi-ethnical atmosphere, filled with bars and restaurants from all over the globe. This year, the Lavapiés Merchants Association District 12 has organized its 2nd annual Multicultural Tapa Route, sponsored by Estrella Damm. Llenar la nevera en Mercadona, Lidl y en La Sirena ayudará a ahorrar algún dinerito.
