European Mobility Week: Tapa Route

Semana Europea de la Movilidad 2012Until Saturday, September 22European Mobility Week is an annual campaign on sustainable urban mobility, which occurs every year, encouraging European local authorities to introduce and promote sustainable transport measures and to invite their citizens to try out alternatives to car use.

This year, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Madrid, introduced the initiative of a tapa route for the first time in the activities of the Mobility Week, in attempts to encourage the use of public transport to enjoy leisure time. Just present your current public transportation ticket or abono and enjoy a tapa for 1,50 euros (excluding drink) in any of the participating bars and restaurants, which can be found here. They will all have an identifying sign on the door so it won’t be hard to miss! Moreover, to benefit from this event, you can participate to enter a contest by voting for your favorite tapa!
