The jazz cycle organized by the Fundación Juan March each fall in this edition is dedicated to Louis Armstrong and the New Orleans music scene in the ’20s, an encounter with the birth of jazz. It was at that place and time when this genre became an elaborate musical art form of considerable sophistication, thanks to the direct influence of innovations devised by Armstrong, considered since then one of the reference figures in the history of jazz.
