Free Brazilian Cello & Piano Concert

Organized by the Brazilian Embassy, Fundación Cultural Hispano Brasileña and Casa de América, a recital by two of Brazil’s most successful musicians, cellist Carlos Audi and pianist Hamilton Tescarollo, will be performed tomorrow Tuesday, July 17 @ 8pm in the Casa de América on Plaza de la Cibeles, 2.

 

Both musicians began their duo when they were very young. Years later, after specializing in their instruments, they reunited on stage in 2008 and since then they have been very successful in Brazil, USA and Europe.

They recently recorded their first CD of American composers with an emphasis on Brazilian music.

 

Their repertoire will include works by:
Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1959).
Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992).
Henrique Oswald (1852-1931).
Mozart Camargo Guarnieri (1907-1993).
Osvaldo Lacerda (1927-2011).
Edmundo Villani-Cortes (1930).
