Monday, 8 October. Tomás Marco (Madrid, 1942) is a composer who wrote five operas, one ballet, seven symphonies, as well as choral and chamber music. He is also an essayist, having written several books and articles on contemporary music and winning several awards, including the National Music Prize of Spain.
There will be a monographic concert in honor of one of the most prolific and influential Spanish musicians. The program will review works of different periods of the composer’s career with an accompanied string orchestra and include performances by the renowned soloists Pablo Sainz Villegas on guitar and Maria Antonia Rodriguez on flute.
