Madrid’s Tapas Festival Returns Thursday

Madrid’s renowned Feria de la Tapa (Tapas Festival) returns for the seventh year to the Palacio de Deportes on Thursday, the 9th of June until Sunday the 12th. Come sample some of the city’s famed tapas all jammed side-by-side in a maze of kiosks staffed by chefs eager to impress and attract customers to their bars and restaurants.

The event is sponsored by the Mahou-San Miguel group, which means that in addition to the 38 fantastic tapa concoctions, there will be plenty of drinks available to start your night.

Entrance is free and each tapa with beer, non-alcoholic beer or  soda costs 1.20 Euros. A tapa with a heavier beer, light beer or lemon-infused ‘mixta’ drink costs 2.40 Euros. The festival is open from 12h to 16h and 20h to 24h each day. The event will run Thursday the 9th until Sunday the 12th.

The Palacio de Deportes is located near the Goya (Lines 2 and 4) and O’Donnell (Line 6) Metro stations.
