Free Concerts by Mahou

Mahou hosts their annual free acoustic space in the Reina Sofia Museum, a music series that brings together national and international artists that demonstrate the various aspects of contemporary musical creations.

Shigeto - This American musician bases his music on the combination of basic rhythms from drums and percussion, with the construction of structures and soundscapes that combine influences of ambient, IDM, hip hop, dubstep and jazz sounds. Wednesday, September 26 @ 8pm.

 

 

 

Dead Capo – After thirteen years of experience in a reference to the national experimental jazz scene, his music is the result of assimilation of multiple styles, starting with jazz structures and integrating over these elements of rock, experimental music, funk, surf or cinematic influences of Henry Mancini or Lalo Schiffrin. Wednesday, October 24 @ 8pm.

Colin Stetson – a baritone sax virtuoso, which draws extreme instrument sounds in an exercise of rhythmic and melodic strength that make him a musician of great personality.

Wednesday, November 15 @ 8pm.

 

 

All performances are free, located in the Reina Sofia Museum Cafeteria, early arrival is highly recommended for getting tickets.
