Juernes 2×1 at TGIFriday’s
Nobody likes Mondays, we already know. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are hopelessly boring. But starting Thursday, the day becomes a bit more exciting because the weekend is just around the corner. That’s when you get juernes, the combination of the words Thursday and Friday in Spanish (jueves and viernes), the equivalent to the English saying Thank Goodness it’s Friday (TGIF). The combination of these two words, for this very particular form, has no objective other than to point out the desire, or rather, despair for the long awaited arrival of the weekend.
