New Exhibit: “Dead Calm” by Jean-Marc Bustamante

September 20 – December 18. Jean-Marc Bustamante (Toulouse 1952) is a notable French artist, photographer and sculptor with important collections all over Europe and NYC, who now currently teaches at ENSBA (National School of Fine Arts) in Paris.

Exposure to appreciate to what extent the work of Jean-Marc Bustamante implies a redefinition of the various plastic substrates of representation in the digital and technological age, and thus leaves open the question of what they mean, what scope and limits are through the images in the world today. The sample consists of 39 works in all media: photographs, paintings on Plexiglas, sculptures and installations, which articulate the very specific characteristics of the artist’s work and can be appreciated in depth.
