Unlike most musical instruments, from its origins, the guitar has shown an enormous versatility to adapt to very different roles and styles. Its integration into so-called classical music didn’t prevent many works being composed for it in the myriad of musical genres that arose during the twentieth century. This series offers a taste of the other worlds of the guitar, from flamenco and the blues to the popular Latin-American style, as well as the modernisation of seventeenth-century music performed on the electric guitar.*
