Making great ice cream runs in the family at Gino Fuoli where they have been churning it out since 1965. Named after the owner’s grandfather, this local shop continues to be a neighborhood favorite.Located at Calle Fuencarral, 149 (Metro Quevedo), they are open ten months of the year (February through November) and ten days over Christmas. However, it is during these hot months when you will want to take advantage of their large terrace with plenty of seating, providing an ideal spot to relax with a cool treat. They offer over thirty different flavors of ice cream all made in the basement of the shop. The team wakes up at six in the morning to begin the process that continues until after midnight when the shop closes. Like Palazzo and Los Alpes, you can also find horchata and granizados too, all made with natural ingredients. If you do decide to sit outside, make sure to eat it fast as melting ice cream can cause quite the mess! Up next on our frozen food tour, we ditch the ice cream to showcase a couple spots for frozen yogurt, so stay tuned!
