Barcelona is a major driver of innovation, creation and internationalization. And this exhibition is proof of this. ”Thought up in Barcelona” wants to invite visitors to learn about the people and companies that create innovative products and services that excel in Barcelona and worldwide.

The exhibition presents a collection of individual cases, innovators and pioneers that have developed in this city and they often have international repercussions. Examples of Barcelona has the potential engine of innovation, creation and internationalization. And also proof that, sometimes, an illusion may lead to a reality, or an embryonic idea may end a market or a small business can grow into a world leader.

In Barcelona there are conditions for this to happen and more. The city is a “hub” of connections, a woven fabric that allows exchange of ideas, collaboration between people, companies, knowledge centers and institutions and, ultimately, progress. ”Thought up in Barcelona” highlights and analyzes these connections. The exhibition thus presents a series of examples that indicate that innovation often arises through a process of collaborative work. That an established company work with a design school is an asset to be fostered, mutual benefit: the company receives fresh ideas and the student works in a real case. And a fashion designer to develop a project with a technology center is a sign that the development is positive.
